Goal

To find satisfying project work that makes use of my skills and experience on a, typically, part-time basis. These contracts can range from a week or two up to 12 months or longer. It is feasible to involve occasional travel.

This work is likely to require some or all of the following: research, project management, stakeholder relations, employee relations, community relations, teaching, facilitation, internet communications, business development, cultural and community development, lobbying, photography, high level communication skills (verbal and written), strategic planning.

 

Experience

Project management, strategic planning, research and writing. Tertiary educated in communications, marketing and media. Practiced in these areas since 1990 - in private, community, government, educational and corporate settings. Work effectively in small or large team environments and independently.

An ambitious, hard-fought media literacy campaign that encouraged people to take a seven-day break from The Box to reclaim their time, relationships, debt and mental environment. Reached over five million Australians. A series of stories before, during and after the event appeared in most major newspapers and on most major radio stations in the country, including full-page articles in The Age and The Australian. Around 100,000 Australians are estimated to have directly participated during TV Turn Off Week 2000 (22-28 April) due to our efforts.
